The PRO launch pad
you always wanted

LaunchingPad rebuilds the full-screen grid you loved, then adds everything it always missed — folders within folders, undo, multi-select and move, and dedicated Recents & Most Used columns.

A launcher that feels
like part of macOS.

LaunchingPad turns your Mac apps into a clean, full-screen icon grid that you can arrange, group into folders, search, and personalize until everything is right where you expect it.

One gesture.
Your whole app library.

Open LaunchingPad's window however feels natural. The familiar app grid appears on your active display and current Space, so you're never yanked to another screen.

  • ⌥ Space hotkey — pick your own; rebind it to any combination.
  • Trackpad pinch — three- or four-finger pinch, just like before.
  • Hot corner — flick the pointer into the corner of your choice.
  • F4 key & menu bar icon — right where your muscle memory expects them.

Drag. Stack. Done.
Folders all the way down.

Click and hold to enter edit mode — the icons start to wiggle, ready to move. Drop one app onto another to make a folder, or drag to a screen edge to flip between pages. Even subfolders are allowed.

  • Drop to create folders — they open into a centered glass panel.
  • Nested folders — build folders inside folders for deep, tidy app stacks.
  • Move across pages — hold an app at a screen edge and the next page slides in.

Remove apps.
Clean up the leftovers.

Right-click an app or press ⌘ Delete to review what will go. LaunchingPad finds related support files first, so uninstalling is deliberate instead of blind.

  • Review before removal — confirm the app bundle and any discovered Library files before anything changes.
  • Clean related files — catch preferences, caches, helpers, and support folders that ordinary dragging leaves behind.
  • macOS-safe fallback — protected items move to the Trash when the system will not delete them outright.

Type to fly.
The right apps, up front.

Just start typing the moment the grid appears. Fuzzy search ranks across names, bundle IDs, categories, and folder contents — then Return launches the top result.

  • Fuzzy everything — type “lr” to find Lightroom; even apps tucked in folders surface.
  • Recents & Most Used — 1–3 dedicated columns, pinned or on the first page.
  • ⌥-click to open an app while keeping the launcher up.

Your layout, to the pixel.

Set the grid anywhere from a roomy 4×3 to a dense 10×9, and scale the icons and spacing to match. Save layouts as named arrangements and switch back anytime.

  • Grid — 4–10 columns, 3–9 rows, adjustable icon size.
  • Saved arrangements — capture a layout and jump between them at will.
  • Bring your old layout — import your existing Launchpad database in one step.

Considered, down to the last detail.

⌨️

Keyboard-first

Arrows, Tab, ⌘← / ⌘→ to flip pages, ⌘F to search. A tile is always selected, so you never need the mouse.

♿️

Accessible by design

VoiceOver reads every tile, and Reduce Motion and Reduce Transparency are fully respected.

🔄

Always up to date

Watches your Applications folders in the background, so installs and removals appear the moment they happen.

🔐

Respects your system

Keeps its own JSON layout and never touches Apple’s database. Launches still obey Screen Time and restrictions.

🗑️

Manage in place

Right-click any app to reveal it in Finder, hide it from the grid, or move it to Trash. System apps stay protected.

🖥️

Multi-display aware

Opens on the display and Space you’re working in, then hands focus back to your previous app when you dismiss it.

⚡️

Launch at login

Sits quietly in the menu bar from the moment you sign in, ready whenever you call it.

🔔

Stays current

Built-in updates keep you on the latest version — automatic, signed, and out of your way.

Every key, right where you’d reach for it.
